August 1st will mark day 300 of the genocide on Gaza. A genocide that has seen the loss of a projected 186,000+ Palestinians, and the wholesale destruction of the Gaza Strip and all of its critical infrastructure. Thousands of Palestinians have been imprisoned or disappeared in the last 9 months, in addition to the thousands already held in the illegitimate occupation jails with no charge or trial. Some of the most horrific scenes of torture and brutality are narrated to us from recently released Palestinian prisoners, who exit as mere shells of their previous selves suffering extreme injuries and malnutrition. 

Meanwhile, the ruling class of the US has welcomed with open arms the war criminal executing this genocide of the Palestinian people. As Netanyahu addressed an applauding genocidal audience in congress, we held a massive mobilization successfully disrupting the city and his visit. Tens of thousands of people marched through the streets of Washington, D.C. in a demonstration that shook the halls of power and showed that if they continue to harbor and abet an internationally wanted war criminal, they will have the people to answer to. Talks of a negotiated deal continue as Netanyahu extends his visit to the US, but the people will not be fooled or stalled by such talks until our demands are met. It is more imperative than ever that we show Biden, Harris and all members of the government that their talk is cheap, and that we will settle for nothing less than swift action to end the genocide. We demand an end to the genocide, the end to all western aid to Israel, freedom for all Palestinian political prisoners, an end to the siege on Gaza and a free Palestine, from the river to the sea. 

That’s why we are calling for 3 days of action from August 1st to August 3rd to show, that as day 300 of the genocide begins, our commitment to a free Palestine and a country that actually represents the interest of its people, not the interest of their pockets, has only grown stronger. 

The 3 days of action should be taken up by all sectors of the movement and organizations and networks that have been created or reinvigorated in the past 9 months. We call on people all over the world to mobilize, organize events, host teach-ins, canvas their cities, and take up any action that they can to show the world that we will not sit idly as day 300 of the genocide approaches. In fact, our movement and resolve will only grow stronger. Join us from August 1 to August 3rd for our martyrs, for our prisoners, and for Gaza!
